1- Get a referral to an agent and meet with them to see if it’s a good fit.
Whoever referred you, ask them why they liked that agent. What did they do well? Remember, your agent should be doing the work for you and helping you in all the best ways.

2- Get pre-approved with a LOCAL lender (your agent should have some good recommendations).
Once you find your house, be sure to shop around on lenders (make sure the interest rate is where you want it to be AND some lenders require less % down as well. There are tons of ways to finance a house.
3- Get set up on a portal search
(this will email you leads that are set with your filters on location, price point, bed bath etc.)
4- Spend the money on thorough inspections.
5- Follow your GUT. Most buyers know it’s meant to be within a minute of walking in the front door.
